PAGASA raised the yellow rainfall warning over parts of Zamboanga del Norte and Misamis Occidental at 5:50 a.m. on Sunday due to the effects of the trough of a low pressure area.
The yellow rainfall warning is up over Dapitan, Dipolog, Polanco, Rizal, Sibutad, Pinan, Katipunan, PMRoxas, Manukan in Zamboanga del Norte; and Baliangao and Sapang Dalaga in Misamis Occidental. Areas under the yellow rainfall warning will have heavy rains measuring 7.5 to 15 mm in one hour which may continue in the next two hours.Residents were advised to monitor the weather condition.
Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasionally heavy rains will affect portions of Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Agusan del Sur, Davao de Oro, and nearby areas, PAGASA said. "The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions, MONITOR the weather condition and watch for the next advisory to be issued at 8:50 AM today," the weather bureau said.
