THREE police units have received a total of P300,000 cash incentives for the prompt arrest of gunmen involved in three recent shooting incidents in Zamboanga City.Mayor John Dalipe handed over the cash rewards of P100,000 each to the three police units in a simple ceremony in the afternoon of Monday, December 16, 2024, at the headquarters of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO).
City Hall information office said Tuesday, December 17, the recipients of the cash rewards are the Zamboanga City Police Station (ZCPS) 2 and 8, and the 1st Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company (1ZCMFC).The cash rewards were received by Police Captain Jova Agustin, ZCPS2 chief, Police Major Jovanie Julian, ZCPS8 chief, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Mendoza, 1ZCMFC.Dalipe lauded the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) under the leadership Police Colonel Kimberly Molitas for their diligence and dedication in curbing criminality with the recent arrest of three gunmen involved in the shooting incidents in Calarian, Curuan and Ayala village. During the turnover of the cash rewards, the ZCPO presented to Dalipe and the media, Hussin Sapie and Jayson de Leon, suspects in recent shooting incidents in Calarian and Curuan villages. The third suspect was identified as Arnold Fernandez, allegedly involved in the February 11 shooting incident at Phase 4, Ayala village. Dalipe reaffirmed his full support to the local police force for the safety and security of Zamboanga City. Molitas expressed gratitude to Dalipe for his steadfast support and reiterated the police force's resolve to sustain efforts until they “find the final shooter responsible for all of these crimes in the city”.
