The video opens with Washington’s Paige as she finally reunites with her father after he was incarcerated for 17 years. It highlights the father and daughter duo’s efforts to repair their relationship, with Paige letting her father move in.is inspired by the life of author Tracy McMillan, who is also serving as an executive producer. Joining Washington and Lindo are Faly Rakotohavana, Jee Young Han, Jordyn McIntosh, Marque Richardson, Edwin Lee Gibson, and more.
“The series is a half-hour comedy about a messy but perfectionist relationship therapist and single mom whose life is turned right-side-up when her dad gets out of prison and moves in with her and her teenage son,” reads the synopsis.is executive produced by Washington, Lindo, and Yvette Lee Bowser, who’s also set as the showrunner. Executive producers are Joy Gorman Wettels, Anonymous Content, Jen Braeden, and director Kevin Bray.
This marks Washington’s first leading role in a comedy series, after previously starring in acclaimed thriller dramas including ABC’s.
