Two construction workers were arrested while in a drug session in Barangay Poblacion, La Trinidad in this province on Thursday evening, March 9.
The drug personalities were identified as Ian Apolinario Barrientos, 29, and Raymund Secollies Soriano, 26.
BGen. Mafelino Bazar, regional director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera, said the anti-illegal drug operatives of the Benguet Police Provincial Office immediately launched an operation after receiving information on the alleged ongoing drug session in the said place.Seized from their possession were two plastic sachets containing .44 grams of shabu with standard price of P2,992, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
The confiscated pieces of evidence were inventoried on-site and brought into the custody of La Trinidad MPS for documentation and proper disposition, while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Act are being prepared against the suspects.
