A 51-year-old tricycle driver was shot dead by a man during their argument over a parking space in Tondo, Manila on Monday, March 14.
Police Lt. Col. Cennon Vargas Jr. identified the victim as Jose Caones Jr., a resident of Sofia Street, Tondo. The suspect, Julius Quezon, 56, a resident of Moderna Street, Brgy. 146, Balut, Tondo, was arrested by the police after the incident.Based on the investigation of Manila Police District homicide section, the argument between the duo started when Caones parked his tricycle in front of the suspect’s house.
Quezon asked Caones to leave the parking spot, but the tricycle driver insisted that he was waiting for his passenger, police said. During their altercation, the victim pulled out a sharp object while the suspect took a gun from his house and shot Caones.The suspect will be charged with homicide, police said.
