AS the low pressure area (LPA) off Batanes will unlikely turn into a tropical depression, the state-run weather agency said on Wednesday that most parts of the country, including Metro Manila will only experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms over the next three days.
'And then, we could expect better weather conditions in the coming days as we have not monitored any weather disturbance except the LPA which has a slim chance to develop into a storm,' weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.In a 5 a.m.
advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the LPA was last spotted some 610 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes.Pagasa said it is the southwest monsoon, locally known as 'habagat,' that is causing rain, especially in the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
