Nirvana's"Something In The Way" has seen a massive spike in streaming listenership on Spotify following its inclusion in The Batman. After numerous delays due to COVID-19, Matt Reeves' The Batman has finally been released in theaters. Starring Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, the movie features a darker and grittier approach to Gotham City and the Caped Crusader.
In addition to Giacchino's haunting and propulsive score, The Batman also features Nirvana's"Something In The Way" on two occasions during the movie. The movie has evidently inspired viewers to listen to the song outside of the film, with Spotify reporting a 1200% increase in streams on their platform. In addition to appearing twice in the movie itself,"Something In The Way" is also featured in one of The Batman's trailers.
