The Silang, Cavite provincial government launched a river cleansing activity on Wednesday, July 5, as part of its efforts in improving the town's waterways towards a greener and more sustainable environment. | ManilaBulletin
Silang, Cavite Mayor Kevin Anarna, together with other local government officials, led the deployment of bokashi balls and bioremediation on some of its rivers especially those that lead towards the Manila Bay to help it revert to its natural condition.
Aside from bokashi balls, the local government unit also dropped molasses into the rivers that are donated by EM Research and the DENR. He added that with the help of the two procedures, the number of fishes in the town's waterways will also increase.
