LUCENA CITY — A pedestrian died and another one was injured on Tuesday, July 4, after a wayward vehicle hit them in Dasmariñas City in Cavite province.
The Cavite police said in a report on Wednesday that Zaldy Bago was driving a jitney, a small passenger vehicle, along Congressional Road in Barangay Burol 1 around 4 p.m. when the vehicle suddenly lost its brakes.The wayward vehicle crashed into the center island and subsequently hit two pedestrians, Rene Lohera and “RJ.”
The two suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas, but RJ died on the way. The report did not reveal the fatality’s real name.
