Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez has apparently re-injured his right arm
The right-hander departed Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Guardians with two outs in the fourth inning, crouching on the mound in pain and frustration. Marquez was making his first start since coming off the 15-day injured list where he was being treated for right forearm inflammation.
Manager Bud Black said before Wednesday’s game that Marquez would be monitored and limited to 70-75 pitches. Marquez has 983 career strikeouts, leaving him three shy of passing Jorge De La Rosa for the franchise record.
