While there were reports of trade calls and interest, no deal appeared to get anywhere close to being consummated. that the Nets were never serious about fulfilling Durant's trade request.
"As one GM put it to me, 'There’s a difference between making a call and trying to build a trade. Brooklyn wasn’t trying to build a trade.'"
