PAGASA raised the red rainfall warning at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday over Davao Oriental and four other areas in Mindanao due to rains brought about by the trough of a low pressure area (LPA) and the shear line.

PAGASA raised the red rainfall warning at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday over Davao Oriental and four other areas in Mindanao due to rains brought about by the trough of a low pressure area and the shear line.Davao de Oro: Monkayo, NewBataan, Maragusan, Compostela;These areas will have rains measuring more than 150,0000 drums/square kilometer.Meanwhile, PAGASA raised the orange rainfall warning over Davao de Oro, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, and the rest of Surigao del Norte.

"All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards. Residents along mountain slopes are advised for possible landslides, mudslides, rock slides and flash floods. Keep monitoring for updates," the weather bureau said.while the effects of the northeast monsoon will be felt in parts of Luzon, PAGASA reported.
