The state weather bureau on Thursday, Jan. 5, said the low pressure area spotted east of Roxas City, Capiz may possibly dissipate within the day.
One of these two LPAs, however, has already exited the Philippine boundary. As of 3 a.m., it was spotted 450 kilometers south of Kalayaan, Palawan heading towards the southern Vietnam-Malaysia area. Although less likely to develop into a tropical cyclone, this LPA is still expected to continue dumping rains in MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region.
The northeast monsoon, on the other hand, is still blowing cold winds and also causing cloudy skies with rains in Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and Ilocos Region.
