Rains because of the combined effects of the low pressure area and southwest monsoon will continue to affect some parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Tuesday, July 12.

PAGASA said the weather disturbance remains less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 48 hours. “Under these conditions, scattered flooding and rain-induced landslides are likely, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards as identified in hazards maps and in areas with significant antecedent rainfall,” PAGASA said.
