The Metro Manila Council (MMC) on Wednesday said it is proposing for local government units (LGU) in the National Capital Region (NCR) to set a rain catchment system to prevent water shortage.

In a press conference, MMC president San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said these systems can be set up in city halls, barangay halls, public schools, among others. MMDA chairperson Romando Artes said the MMDA is already conducting research on a modular rain catchment system that is adjustable with space.
[We are conducting research now on a rain catchment system which is modular. So the catch basin can be adjusted depending on the space and can hold up to 10 cubic meters or 10,000 liters]
