Local governments in Pangasinan are monitoring cases of cough, cold, and fever among people staying in evacuation centers after several days of stormy weather.

According to a "24 Oras" report by GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon's Jasmin Gabriel-Galban on Tuesday, evacuees with symptoms are being isolated to mitigate the spread of sickness in the centers.“Nahihirapan kami dahil sa nga may mga nagkakasakit na mga bata...pero at least andiyan ang ating mga nurse at staff. Lagi silang tinitignan, tsine-check para hindi grumabe,"said Barangay Malued Chairwoman Felipina Delos Santos.

Around 10,000 families whose houses are still flooded have been evacuated to multiple evacuation centers in Pangasinan.Local officials say there is a nurse present at every evacuation center, with an adequate supply of medicines. Evacuees are also provided with food and clean water.
