One person is dead and three others were injured after a shooting broke out at Privat Social Club, 5138 UTSA Blvd., in the early morning hours Thursday.Records from state and local authorities show that Privat Social Club — the site of a fatal shooting Thursday morning — has been under scrutiny since it opened, being linked to nearly 300 calls to the San Antonio Police Department and multiple investigations by the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission.
In the three years that the nightclub has been open, San Antonio police have investigated 89 cases involving Privat with 298 calls for service to the establishment, according to SAPD records obtained by the Express-News. According to the records, officers have received 66 calls for service with 26 cases this year.Some cases involve multiple calls for service from multiple callers.
In the latest incident, one person was killed and three others injured in a shooting outside the nightclub in the early morning hours Thursday. Police said a massive brawl that involved about 20 people started inside Privat Social Club, spilled out into the parking lot, and ended when one or more people pulled out firearms and started shooting.
