The Philippine Embassy in Libya urged Filipinos in the capital city of Tripoli and its surrounding areas to take increased caution and vigilance for their safety amid reports of violent clashes in Al-Farnaj on Friday.
In a public advisory, however, the Embassy said it has so far not received any report of Filipinos who were hurt or injured from the clashes.
"The Embassy continues to monitor developments on the ground and stands ready to provide emergency assistance to Filipinos who may be affected by security-related incidents," the advisory read.
Filipinos in Libya may reach the Embassy for their security-related incidents, information on developing security situations on the ground, and requests for assistance through the following:
