COVID-19 positivity rate in the National Capital Region (NCR) has increased to almost 6%, according to independent monitoring group OCTA Research on Monday.

OCTA fellow Guido David said the region's positivity rate rose to 5.9% as of June 25 from a positivity rate of 3.9% as of June 18. NCR's positivity rate wasPositivity rate refers to the percentage of people who were found positive for COVID-19 among the total number of individuals tested.Data also showed that the positivity rate in Rizal jumped to 11.9% from 6.3%.

Meanwhile, Laguna rose to 7.5% from 3.1%, Cavite to 6% from 3.6%, and South Cotabato to 7.4% from 6.3% Batangas, Benguet, Bulacan, Cagayan, Cebu, Iloilo, and Pampanga also recorded an increase in their COVID-19 positivity rates, according to OCTA.
