The Arizona Cardinals can run the ball facing a worst team in the Saints.Do you know what has been completely miserable about the Cardinals’ defense, which has been stepping up and absolutely shutting down the opponents’ top playmakers virtually every single week since the season opener?Not that coach Kliff Kingsbury has anything bad to say about the other side of the football that he doesn’t coach, of course.
In losing 19-9, the only other points the Cardinals put up came on a special teams touchdown when they recovered a fumble in the end zone on a botched punt attempt only then to promptly miss the point after.It was the latest in a series of ongoing embarrassments for Kingsbury, his offensive staff, quarterback Kyler Murray and the rest of the offense and it’s been so egregiously bad, that fans and critics alike are wondering if a major change should be made.
To his credit, he didn’t back away from the question even though previously in a national interview, he said he would rather quit if ever asked to give up that part of his job. Later, on Arizona Sports 98.7-FM, he was asked a similar question. It basically went like this: “Do you feel like you’re coaching to save your job right now?”
