A 34-year-old Paterson woman who was inside a home was struck multiple times by gunfire that entered the building from the street Wednesday night, authorities said. The shooting occurred at 11:18 p.m. in the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Warren Street, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora.
The woman was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson and was expected to survive, Valdes and Baycora said in a joint statement. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the prosecutor’s office at 1-877-370-PCPO or email
