The N.J. public worker pension fund posted a return of 3.3% in the first half of fiscal year 2022.

“We are living in volatile times, and markets are moving in a more volatile fashion,” Goldman Sachs Group President and CEO John Waldron said during a virtual meeting Wednesday. The pension fund supports the retirement of about 800,000 active and retired state and local government workers, has long beenin the nation. In the second half of last year, it was hit especially hard by underperforming stocks in emerging markets.
