TUSCARAWAS COUNTY , Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on Saturday in Tuscarawas County that left one man dead.
According to a release from OSHP, at around 11: 30 p.m. 33-year-old Trevor E. Berndt was riding a black 2007 Harley Davidson Road King and heading southbound on County Road 29 . The crash occurred near the intersection of Edwards Ridge Road and Crooked Creek Road in Rush Township as Berndt tried to negotiate a curve.The motorcycle then slid off the left side of the road and hit a guardrail, according to OSHP.
Berndt, of Newcomerstown, was pronounced dead on the scene by the Tuscarawas County Coroner’s Office.Multiple agencies were on the scene of the crash including the Uhrichsville EMS, Rush Township Fire Department, the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, the Tuscarawas County Coroner’s Office and Finlayson Towing.
