) -Recent allegations made by suspended Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine have left the city council and the public with more questions than answers.
A resolution sponsored by Council President CJ Small and District 2 Councilman William Carroll would allow the council to open its own investigation into Prine’s allegations. If approved Council President Small says a committee of council members would be created council members plus a third party that hasn’t been decided that will help the council look into Chief Prine’s allegations. Councilman Small says there is a sense of urgency to resolve things.
Meanwhile Mayor Stimpson is sponsoring a resolution to remove Prine from his position as chief but small says he wants more clarity before moving forward.
