'The View' co-host claims women in media wouldn't get away with an 'obscenity-filled tirade' like Cuomo, who is being backed by CNN.
Since news broke that CNN host Chris Cuomo was involved in an altercation in which he lashed out at a heckler who called him “Fredo” — a Godfather reference which Cuomo and CNN have decried as an “ethnic slur” — people have been rushing to take sides.
McCain neither explicitly defended nor criticized Cuomo, who angrily says, “I’ll f****** ruin your s***. I'll f****** throw you down these stairs" in video footage of the confrontation. She did, however, insist that “not one woman in ALL of media” would get away with having an “obscenity-filled tirade” caught on camera. Though critics, including the president, have called for Cuomo to face repercussions for his reaction to the heckler, a CNN spokesperson says “we completely support him.
