CNN is standing by anchor Chris Cuomo after a profanity-laced video of him threatening a heckler went viral Monday.
The journalist explained that the "disparaging" term is from the 1972 film"The Godfather," referring to Fredo Corleone, who Cuomo said is "a weak brother." View this post on InstagramAs the conversation escalated, Cuomo added:"I’ll ruin your . I’ll throw you down these stairs like a punk … you’re gonna call me Fredo, take a swing?"
CNN offered support for Cuomo following the video's release, claiming that the anchor was targeted in an"orchestrated setup."
