MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio - There are several road closures in place after a truck with an oversized load hit a bridge Friday evening.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation , the driver struck the Route 42 bridge over Greenwich Road and officials are still trying to determine the extent of damage. US 42 South is closed at US 224. Motorists are being detoured off US 42 at US 224 but are getting right back on 42 south. US 224 eastbound is closed at U.S. 42. Detour US 42 south to SR 301 south to SR 539 south to I-71 north to SR 83 north to 421.Deshawn Johnson, 43, of Texas, was charged with reckless operation, a permit violation and over dimension, said Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers.
