More than 8,000 employees of the Makati City Hall are expected to will receive up to P20,000 as Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) after the city council approved an ordinance for its funding, the city government has announced. This developed after President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. signed on December 16 an administrative order, which authorized the SRI for government employees for the fiscal year 2022.

City Ordinance No. 2022-A-168, passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Makati, then set aside P163,998,000.00 for the SRI. The ordinance stipulates that an employee must occupy a casual, regular, or contractual position and is still in government service as of November 30, 2022.
