Over 8,000 Makati City hall employees will receive up to P20,000 Service Recognition Incentive after the city council approved ordinances for its immediate funding, Mayor Mar-len Abigail 'Abby' Binay-Campos said.Binay said P163.9 million was allocated for the incentive.Job order employees meanwhile will get P5,000 gratuity pay and a sack of rice.
'I would like to extend my gratitude to our city council for quickly granting the release of the additional incentive for our city employees,' Binay said in a statement on Thursday.'I hope this incentive will inspire our employees to continue to work hard in the service of our Proud Makatizens,' she added.On December 16, 2022, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed Administrative Order No. 01 authorizing the grant of SRI for government employees.
