Those who help people in need say north Baldwin County is a resource desert, and on Thursday multiple service providers came to Bay Minette to help people there
. Donna James greatly appreciated the hot meal and bag of groceries she got for free. She says it's tough sometimes to stretch a dollar on fixed income.
“There is a huge need in Baldwin County. That is why I started this foundation,” said Michelle Hillman., a nonprofit that helps people who are food insecure and homeless. She says they've identified 600 homeless people in Baldwin County. Hillman says 250 of them are seniors and 200 of them are children.
