In a press statement, Globe earlier shared that it has discovered potential minor vulnerabilities in its SIM registration microsite. This signaled the local telco giant to temporarily make the site inaccessible.
Globe said that the issue happen despite all the preparation, technical tests, and due diligence they have conducted. At the moment, at least 20,000 customers were able to register since the SIM registration portal went live early in the morning today. Globe stressed that it is committed to making SIM registration easy and convenient for its 87.9 million customers. They also said they are assuring their customers that the company is doing its best to deliver a SIM registration platform that provides a good digital experience for customers, that is also secure and safe.
