“They wanted us to kiss so they could watch us”
Photo: Daniel Leal-Olivas/AFP/Getty Images Four teenage boys have been charged in connection with a horrifying homophobic attack against a lesbian couple who refused their demand to kiss.
“The next thing I remember was Chris in the middle of them and they were beating her,” Geymonat, who’s waiting to find out if her nose is broken, told Metro. “I was pulling her back and trying to defend her so they started beating me up … I felt blood, I was bleeding all over my clothes and all over the floor.”
Since Geymonat first spoke publicly about the physical assault on Facebook, everyone from Mayor Sadiq Khan to Transport for London have condemned the attack as “misogynistic” and “homophobic” — and they haven’t hesitated to explicitly call it a hate crime.
