Amanda walks you through the latest data and talks about more wet weather this evening!MONTGOMERY, Ala. - It was a wet Friday... and for most the southern half of Alabama it was a gloomy and rainy start to our weekend. Thankfully a few towns were lucky enough to squeeze some sunshine out of the sky while between passing showers, but more thunderstorm activity is expected as we head into the evening.
Main threats will be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, large hail, and possible flooding if storms set up shop and don’t move. The heat will continue late next week, as highs remain in the upper 80s to lower 90s. There is also some indication that a few showers and storms will move back into the region late next week, as we introduce rain chances on Thursday.
