Child pornography allegations have been made toward a Georgetown man who was a pastor at the time.
Walther appeared in an Austin federal court for the first time on Thursday. According to a criminal complaint filed, Walther used BitTorrent, a peer-to-peer file sharing network, to download pornographic content involving minors. He was pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Round Rock, Texas, during that time, said officials.
A search of Walther’s home led to investigators’ discovery of two large computer hard drives containing child pornography. “The FBI San Antonio Division’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, with invaluable assistance from the Round Rock Police Department, is investigating the case. The FBI also appreciates the assistance received by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center,” read an official news release.LATEST NEWS
