What were some noteworthy observations from the Atlanta Falcons Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars?
After another game where the team struggled to compete, here’s what we learned ...It’s another week where Bijan Robinson and the running game attempted to overcome quarterback play for the team to succeed on offense. Ridder has seen some success while behind center in flashes, but today, there weren’t many highlights for his reel.
The offense looks one-dimensional, and part of that has to do with the offensive line, which looks much more comfortable run blocking than pass protecting as Ridder faces collapsed pockets far too often. Jacksonville was able to sack him four times today, making him uncomfortable as he posted an abysmal 10.7 quarterback rating.
There’s no sugarcoating it: Kyle Pitts looks like a draft mistake. Either Pitts isn’t the player the team thought he’d be, orFor all of Ridder’s struggles airing it out, he’s seemed to find a connection with Jonnu Smith, who wasn’t expected to be challenging him when he was traded to the team in the offseason.
