The special event was held by the Now I Can Foundation in Warwick Township.
held its second annual egg hunt at its clinic in Warwick Township, catering to children with sensory, vision and mobility disabilities.
The foundation, which is the only intensive physical therapy center in Pennsylvania, dimmed the lights for its sensory egg hunt, added eggs that make noise for its vision hunt and put eggs on elevated platforms for its mobility hunt. The foundation's executive director Allison Ebersole says she was inspired to hold the event after her young daughter couldn't take part in traditional Easter egg hunts due to cerebral palsy.
"Every kid would take off running, and there was Lauren still standing with her walker on the sideline in tears," Ebersole said."It's incredible because most times they're not able to participate in this, or it's mom picking up the eggs for them and they don't get a chance to actually participate. So it really gives them a sense of self-confidence to be able to participate in this.
