WASHINGTON BORO, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Thursday that a detour is scheduled to begin next month for a bridge replacement project on Route 441 in Lancaster County.
The bridge spans Shumans Run between Manor Street and Conestoga Street in Manor Township, PennDOT said. Weather permitting, the bridge will be closed on Thursday, April 4. Multiple detours will be in place during the closure, according to PennDOT. A car detour will use Route 462, 15th Street, Manor Street, Franklin Road, Central Manor Road and Route 999 .A bicycle detour will use Manor Street, Hempfield Street and Charlestown Road.JVI Group, Inc., is the contractor on the $1.6 million project.. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
