Health Secretary Francisco Duque III on Wednesday said he will teach at a university in Dagupan City after his term ends at the Department of Health (DOH).
“No, I’m going to work pa, but in the private sector. I’m going to go back to the family-owned university in Dagupan City,” Duque said at the Kapihan sa Manila Bay forum.
Meanwhile, though he refused to name the next Health Secretary, he said all potential secretaries are good and qualified. Duque also assured the public that the DOH is ready to present its transition plan and present the possible challenges of the incoming administration. “I will be the first one to admit that we’re really struggling with the booster dose coverage… but we have not given up,” Duque said.Meanwhile, Duque also pushed for universal healthcare, particularly the giving of primary care services.
