The owner of the SUV in the hit-and-run incident involving a security guard in Mandaluyong City is now facing a complaint for frustrated murder, the Mandaluyong City Police said Tuesday.
Mandaluyong City Police chief Police Colonel Gauvin Mel Unos told GMA News Online that a complaint for Abandonment of One's Own Victim has also been filed against the SUV owner.
Interviewed on GMA News’ Unang Balita, Land Transportation Office - National Capital Region director Clarence Guinto said the license of the SUV driver may also be revoked.for preventive action. Guinto said. If a driver is proven unfit to hold a license, his or her license would be perpetually revoked.
The show cause order has already been received by the owner of the SUV, according to Guinto. For now, he said the LTO assumes that the registered owner of the concerned vehicle is also the driver in the hit and run incident.
