Police effected the arrest of the suspect, Allan Valera, 35, a farmer and a resident of Barangay Santa Lucia here, after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Instead of yielding, Valera pushed the arresting officer and ran to his farm where he got a bolo and charged at the police, prompting them to shoot him in the thigh.Recovered from the suspect was 2.5 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P51,000.
