A New York man was killed after his SUV struck a concrete barrier at a New Jersey Turnpike toll plaza in Salem County and burst into flames, authorities said.
Henry Subin, 77, of Katonah, was driving northbound in Carneys Point Township around 9:45 a.m. on July 22 when his vehicle struck the barrier at the Interchange 1 toll plaza, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman.Toll plaza lanes one through four were closed for about four hours as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation, according to police.
