Dental records confirm remains found in national forest near Houston is missing San Diego woman [Breaking]
Human remains found on national forest land north of Houston earlier this month have been confirmed be those of a missing San Diego woman who disappeared in April, Texas officials said Monday.
A transportation worker discovered possible human bones in the Sam Houston National Forest on Feb. 7 and notified law enforcement. The remains were determined to be human and samples were sent for DNA and dental record analysis, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.“It is with a heavy heart that we report dental records have confirmed that the human remains are that of missing person Felicia Johnson of California,” the Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
Police identified a suspect in the case and in June, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office filed murder and tampering with evidence charges in June against 28-year-old Chukwuebuka Nwobodo. Authorities said the victim’s last known location was at his apartment.
