Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT David Corenswet has been shown in his new DC Universe costume in fan art ahead of his debut in 2025's Superman. Following the announcement of the DCEU's reboot into the new DCU, David Corenswet was confirmed to be cast as Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman, in June 2023, alongside Rachel Brosnahan, who is set to portray Lois Lane.
The art also hints at Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor in the background. Hoult was cast as the iconic DC Comics villain in December 2023, and is expected to be a long-running threat to David Corenswet's Superman in the DCU. As well as Corenswet's Superman and Brosnahan's Lois Lane, Superman's cast of characters also includes the likes of Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner's Green Lantern, Mister Terrific, Metamorpho, Maxwell Lord, Supergirl and Angela Spica's Engineer. This epic roster suggests that Superman will focus on building the world of the new DC Universe very quickly, and will plant seeds for future DCU projects, including Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Lanterns and The Authority.
