A gator in Langan Park makes another appearance. This time video of the gator -- not only has Mobile City Councilwoman Gina Gregory concerned -- but also Mobile Animal Services.
“Once they get on land -- they’re pretty quick! And children like to run down there and feed the ducks,” said Amir “Cool Hand$” Lucas.
“He’s looking for something to eat. There’s not really much food in there -- so if we’re standing right here close on the bank -- we look like a #3 at McDonald’s. And I don’t want to be his appetizer,” said Lucas. What we’re not showing in the video is the gator swallowing a turtle. Wildlife officials estimate it to be 6 to 7 feet long and say something else in the full video is alarming.
When it comes to removing the gator -- Bryant says that falls under the Department of Conservation -- and it’s a conversation they’re having.
