Delaware County officials have released new information into the investigation of an armed robbery of a Brinks trunk in Chester Tuesday afternoon.
Police are investigating after an armored truck carrying cash was robbed at gunpoint in Chester Tuesday afternoon.The Brinks truck was "held up" at an AutoZone located at 9th Street and Avenue of the States, according to authorities.Police say the suspects pictured above were armed with long guns as they committed the robbery. Delaware County officials say the male suspects assaulted the driver of the Brinks truck, took his weapon and fled with a significant amount of cash.
It is important to note the vehicle that has silver trim around the license plate, no roof rack and a white CarMax sticker in the rear is not the target vehicle. If contact is made with the target vehicle, officers have been warned to use caution as the firearms used have not yet been recovered.The Delaware County DA says the target vehicle frequents Darby Township and Chester City .
