The Grammy-winning band's flight was 'sidelined by Hurricane Ian.'
The announcement came just hours before the Nashville-based bluegrass band, which won a Grammy for best bluegrass album in 2019, was slated to play on the Swan Stage at 12:25 p.m. Jake Blount, a 27-year-old multi-instrumentalist from Providence, Rhode Island, will fill in for the band after his previous set at the festival’s Bandwagon Stage on Friday evening.
“The Travelin’ McCourys, sidelined by Hurricane Ian, will not be able to make it to HSB this year,” read a statement from Hardly Strictly on Twitter. “Happily, Jake Blount will have an encore performance in their stead on the Swan Stage at 12:25 p.m., Sat.
