Thirty years after the original series, the older, but maybe not wiser, cast of 'Beverly Hills 90210' are back with a new show that riffs on the original.
, desperate to get his independent film made, Shannon is an animal activist; Jennie the mother of a teenager; Ian a fitness expert; and Brian a stay at home dad. Along the way viewers learn, among other things, that Jason has anger issues, Steve’s wife isn’t what she seems, Brian wants to get back into acting, and they all still dislike Shannon.
One of the most interesting elements of the series is that Spelling, at least in the first few installments , is at the center of the action, as sort of the lead of the series, with the others orbiting around her a bit. And, while in the original series, Spelling seemed to be a one, here it appears that she’s matured in her thespian abilities, showing more range in both her comedic, and, well, intentional overdramatic moments.
