CINCINNATI - Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week Award following a big performance against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears and Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers are the other nominees. Fields threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns in a win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday. Purdy finished with 252 yards and four touchdowns in a resounding win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
Through the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week Award, FedEx will make a $2,000 donation in the name of the winning quarterback to Historically Black Colleges and Universities . The donation will be made in the name of the winning quarterback, which will go towards needs-based scholarships to deserving HBCU students.
