The New York Yankees and Houston Astros continued their weekend series on Saturday night at Minute Maid Park.
Third baseman Oswald Peraza, pretty much all field and no hit in his chances this season, finally showed some life at the plate Saturday night in a 5-4 Yankees win at Minute Maid Park.
Peraza, 22, always hit in the minors, including this season in Triple-A, but he isn’t going to last in the big leagues if he can’t handle major league pitching. Heading into Saturday, he was batting .129 in 29 games.Recalled on Aug. 22, he’s started 10 of the Yankees’ 12 games since his return, nine at third base and one at shortstop.
-- Dominguez was 1-for-5 with a seeing eye single to right hitting in the three hole in his second game, leaving him 2-for-9 thus far.
