Alexander Shunnarah (ShunnarahInjury) and his staff gave out 500 turkeys on Monday in Birmingham. They handed the turkeys out from 2:30 until 4:15 p.m., when they completely ran out. 🦃

Alabama celebrity attorney Alexander Shunnarah gave away 500 Thanksgiving turkeys on Monday afternoon in front of his Lakeview office.

“I thank God for all my blessings too, and I hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving, okay?” Shunnarah said. “Keep me in your prayers too.”“Earnestine was on the phone,” Shunnarah said. “I ain’t gonna say no to her, that’s for sure.” Shunnarah, regionally known as a cultural icon for his omnipresent, meme-worthy “Call Me Alabama” billboards and TV commercials, has done holiday giveaways before. Last Christmas, he gave away gift cards at Walmart.“I just feel like you have to give back, that’s the most important thing,” Shunnarah said.

The open-air “I Cared Enough” giveaway replaced an event that was previously held Thanksgiving week at the Harris Arena at the Crossplex before the pandemic ended it in 2020, Cason said.
